Business Development Associate

As a Business Development Associate, your primary function will be to generate, develop and sustain business relationships. You will be responsible for analysing the market, generating leads, supporting and leading sales activities and growing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will:

  • Generate potential business deals and consulting engagements by contacting and meeting potential clients (asset managers, pension funds, SWFs, insurance companies)
  • Identify leads through different sources and develop relationships with C-level executives
  • Follow up with existing prospects and clients to sustain relationships
  • Support senior management in their sales activities such as arranging meetings, preparing documentation
  • Support sales activities such as preparing pitches, contracts and presentations, conduct demonstrations of Stradegi’s solutions
  • Manage client information and database
  • Develop and execute business development strategies, develop GTM strategies for new markets
  • Work collaboratively with internal team to articulate client’s challenges and requirements and understand our services and products
  • Support consulting engagements whenever required

Key Requirements:

  • Professional with 3 – 5 years Experience in Business Development in the investment management industry, sell side or consulting for financial services is preferred but not mandatory
  • Educational qualification – The individual must possess an MBA from a reputed business school (finance specialization preferred but not mandatory); CFA, FRM, CIPM or CA certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • The suitable candidate must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The candidate must be a self-starter, be able to deal with ambiguity and be able to work in an environment with minimal supervision
  • Candidate must be comfortable working with teams/ persons based internationally and should be comfortable with work-related travel (around 20-30% of the time)
